At its annual Girls Weekend event in Boise, Red Aspen announced a new philanthropic partnership with Boda Girls, an organization that empowers and supports women in Kenya. As part of this new partnership, Red Aspen will donate $25,000 from the sales of its newest press-on Nail Dash, Rhiana’s Boda Girls, to provide safe Boda Taxi Bike public transportation for women. Dr. Rhiana Menen, Boda Girls founder and Boise surgeon, launched the initiative after mission trips to Kenya where she witnessed that women were often harassed by male drivers, preventing safe transportation to and from hospital visits.
Red Aspen announced it would be providing an additional $10,000 donation to the organization to purchase a new, mobile ultrasound machine.
“We are so honored and humbled to be able to provide this donation to the Boda Girls initiative,” said Jesse McKinney, Red Aspen Chief Executive Officer. “This partnership will have a positive impact on the lives of women across the globe and their future generations.”
